This post is mostly personal, but relative.
For those of you who don't know, I graduate just a few days from now from the University of North Texas with Bachelor of Arts and Sciences.. cum laude! I'm pretty excited about it. I will continue in my photograph full time for my own companies. Many of you knew this already, the exciting news is...
Sarah, my fiance, received a job offer with the Denton ISD today. She will be taking it, and we'll continue to live in the Denton area, a suburb north of Dallas / Fort Worth. This is great, seeing as my business has been established here for the past three years, and where my commercial market is.
Needless to say, we are so blessed. We both have each other and our dream jobs. I look forward to our lives together and to continue serving the DFW, Denton area.

RIP circuit city
I realize this is from quite a while back this year, old photos and old news, yet it's still quite a historic moment. I felt obligated to go out and capture this time of economic downturn. Maybe it's because I'm a techie, but this store was quite significant to me.
It's funny how a company with such a great reputation sinks to the point of screaming "going out of business" as something exciting, people dancing with signs on the street, almost as if they're proud. God forbid, if that happens to my business, I might make a blog post, quietly find another job, and probably be a little embarrassed.

Britnee Belt
Brittnee Belt among many other things is a musician here in Denton. I enjoyed photographing her. What she ordered were head shots. We ended up getting a little creative. :)
Check out her music on here site listed below, and watch the vid from the photoshoot. That's her music in the video.

Jessica Maternity
Jessica Lewis and family. Jessica and her family are a good friends of my fiance's family. You might recognize them from previous photo shoots. They though they didn't want maternity shots but changed their mind last minute. Glad I could help.
Eli was born this last week:

Eureka Park, Denton, Texas.
Playgrounds are always fun to photograph at, particularly giant wooden playgrounds. I read an article in the NT daily about this park possibly being reconstructed as plastic. It would be a shame.
The girl on the right is pregnant, but not too far along. On most the shots, we tried to not make it too obvious, but by the end of the shoot we couldn't help but take a few belly rubbing shots. See in the video below.

Business cards
Ok, so I do have a few names I go by. The diversity keeps things exciting and fresh for me, and I feel that I have the portfolio to offer specialized photography in multiple areas. Anyway, I made these cards at the end of 2009, but I thought it would be something cool to post. Last year, I just had one card, now I can give an appropriate card to the kind of client I'm meeting with.
Jdonut Photography, LLC (commercial)
Carroll Portraits (portraiture)
Denton Wedding Photography, (weddings)
Dallas Aerial Photography (aerial photo and video)
Jonny Carroll (me)
This is the card and website that ties everything together. With so many different names, I figure something like this is necessary.
Thanks for looking.
