Air to Air aviation photography

I shot these for Longhorn Helicopters. This is what I would love to specialize in.



Helicopters are tricky, because you need to have the blades blurry, otherwise, they'll just look like a rock in the sky. So to do that you have to have a slow shutter speed, and slow shutter speeds from a helicopter, shooting a helicopter = a good challenge.


This is me testing the shutter speed right before liftoff. Blurry blades = good photo (in the sky)

UNT Dancers

I got a chance to photograph team pictures for the UNT dance team.

This shoot was a large attempt to use campus as a studio. I had my lights and everything, working solo and last minute, but the girls were nice enough to help me carry equipment from spot to spot, and even fix hair and direct some poses. Jennifer the dance coach helped too.


Here are the two PR girls: Ann & Savannah.


Along with the team shot, I did individuals of each dancer. The casual shots were fun. Note, this is one montage image.


Even more fun was the action shots, my idea to "spice" up the shoot. Their team has a wide variety of backgrounds of dancing. Some of the things they could do were so impressive.

Sarah

Sarah is my lovely fiance.


We arrived to a rehearsal dinner early, and had a short shoot in uptown Dallas to kill the time.


Currently, she is in the best shape of her college life and is certainly more stunning than ever. I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty dang lucky, and looks are just atop everything else great about her. ..ok, I'll stop bragging on her.

I've upgraded my portfolio. Adding many new pictures and greatly reducing the amount of pictures on the site. I've gone from 800+ pictures to 180. More is less when it comes to photography portfolios. 180 is still a lot, but I'm having trouble parting with so many. I've also changed up category names and went from 5 categories to 6.

Plano Ballon Festival

I literally ran from a park to the festival to grab a few shots.


This was the balloon glow, they don't take off, just light up nice and pretty. check out that flame.


I plan to go next year. This is an annual thing in Plano. I went as a child a few times years and years ago. It's a lot of fun.

Eisenbergs - BMX

made a random trip to Eisenbergs in Plano, TX the other day.

It was like a blast from the past. I used to ride here every week in high school. I rode and didn't hold back much, and man I was sore the day after. It's amazing how good my friends have become at BMX, and depressing almost. I used to hang with these guys. Now I'm an old man. Guss it's all relative as they could probably take just as good a of picture as me abck in early highschool.


Just to name some tricks, toboggan on left, turndown on right.

This is one of my old best friends. Jason Ramirez. I originally went to shoot just him, but after making him do 4 tailwhips back-to-back, he didn't want to ride for me anymore. haha.
